So finally after months of pregnancy.. Some good months and then some bad months.... our little baby is here!
I know this isn't really art related, but he's an inspiration and he's just beautiful. I am sure I will be painting him one day.
He was born in four hours, once I was induced. Basically at 41 weeks, he said... "I'm not coming out!" and then when they started the pitocin... he was like..."Fine... guess if I am going to come out... I want to get it over with FAST!"
The nurses were really surprised. They said it was a shame that I wasn't going to have any more babies. (Caleb is the last!) The contractions were manageable with breathing and visualization techniques, and I was able to distract myself with WoW. Haha. So I didnt cry the entire time until he was born. There was no yelling, no moaning... until the end (read more below) . I would just breath, and retreat inside myself. I got an epidural after my water broke, but unfortunately... it didn't kick in at all. The baby came so fast. So I was pretty much feeling everything! Ouchies!
Everything went great until pushing and he got stuck... The nurse had to turn his head in the canal.... that killed me!
Well he was born today at 3:52pm! He weighed a whopping 8lbs 9oz and was 21 inches long... LONGGGG baby.
I will miss being pregnant, but I am glad he's out. I can finally love on my baby... and I want my brain cells back!
